My husband and I first received a Twinkle Baby from my Mother. She had purchased it in a boutique store in New Jersey and thought how nice it was for the baby to have something that would smell like me when I was not with him. Our thought was to put it in his cradle at night and have my scent near him to foster more of a bond. So, after I received it as a gift I started sleeping with it every once in a while. The birth of my son was not a typical go in have a baby, come home with baby, etc. When my son was born, he unfortunately had to stay in the NICU for about 12 days. Immediately I felt guilty not being able to be with him at night. My Mother in passing said something about the Twinkle Baby, which we had already named Sweet Pea. My son was sleeping with his Sweet Pea within two days of entering this world. He has not been without it for a day for the past two and half years.
Within weeks I noticed that he was completely attached to it. For his naps and at night I would just lay it in his crib. Oddly enough whenever I would go check in on him, it was either near him (he was able to find it with his hand and pull it close) or he would move his whole body just to be closer to it. Right around this time I read an article in a parenting magazine where this father was telling his story about losing his daughter's comfort item. He looked everywhere for a replacement, but he had no luck. Stores did not carry the items anymore. He resorted to Ebay and needless to say paid a small fortune for something that originally only cost a few dollars. Interestingly enough he said at that moment he would have paid anything. He also said that if he knew early on what comfort item his daughter would have been attached to, he would have bought 100 of them.
Here I was just a few weeks in to parenting and I already knew what Jake's comfort item was - - - Twinkle Baby. We immediately googled Twinkle Baby and came across your site and realized that you are the originator of it. So, we ordered some. And a few months later ordered some more.
Now along the way we have lost a few. Perhaps while on a walk, maybe one was thrown out the car window, etc. So, we ordered more.
Here we are two and a half years later and I would have to guesstimate that he has probably had about 12 babies (over the course of this time, he stopped calling them Sweet Pea and just referred to them as Baby).
When I was pregnant with my daughter, Jake picked out what color babies she would have and we named babies Pinky. He also picked out one each for my two nephews (Ages 4 and 7). Both had always asked, "Why they didn't have Sweet Pea Babies?" Well, when I kept being asked the question, I just had to order for them as well. I know for a fact that they both sleep with theirs at night too!
There are so many things that are great about your product. For instance, it is not big to carry around like a blanket. Or if you have several like we do, you can always wash them and just change up the rotation. But if your kid sees the clean laundry and realizes that babies are in there, UT Oh because you then have a little boy walking around with 5 or so at a
time.
I have to say I not only love how Jake (and others) respond to the Twinkle Baby, but I love your customer service. The comfort of being able to find your site, order, and reorder is done with such ease. It is great to not be the parent that has to go to Ebay, track the comfort toy down and pay a small fortune for a replacement.
Just promise us that if you are ever going to stop selling them, that you give us the option to buy more.

I remember being pregnant and sleeping with the Bonding Doll. The first time I gave my babies their bonding dolls, I sighed in relief knowing that they would feel my presence even though I wasn't there.

I'll never forget the first time I saw my unborn child's Twinkle Baby doll. It was pink for a little girl. I was the cutest thing I had every seen. It was just perfect, small and soft. My husband and I both slept with the doll to get our scent on it. It just made the reality of becoming 1st time parents so real. Just having my husband a part of the bonding experience brought us close together.
At the hospital we gave our new child the Bonding Doll. When she would leave our side, the nurses would allow her to keep her doll in her newborn cart. It made my husband and I feel good about letting her go to the nursery. My child, to this day, still loves here Twinkle Baby doll. Thank you Twinkle Baby
